Our Story

Innovating for a Greener Future in Oil Refining.

Virgin Oil Company (Mauritius) Ltd, established in 2005, began operations in 2012 under the leadership of its founder, Mr. Jayesh Ajwani. This pioneering company established the first eco-friendly used oil refinery in Montagne Blanche, notable for its zero-waste operations and alignment with sustainable and renewable energy practices. The refinery is also recognized for its eligibility for carbon credits.

Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the refinery boasts a significant daily processing capacity of 100,000 liters of used oil. It specializes in refining various types of waste oil and contaminated petroleum products. The refinery’s output includes high-quality Base oil, LO, HFO, and LSFO, meeting international standard specifications. These products are certified by both an in-house laboratory and SGS, and comply with ASTM standards. The establishment of this refinery also included securing all necessary clearances from relevant departments, such as the BOI Certificate, an Environment (EIA license), and authorization for the collection and transportation of waste oil.

Virgin Oil Company (Mauritius) Ltd, initiated by Mr. Jayesh Ajwani in 2005, embarked on its mission to redefine oil refining standards. Operational since 2012, our Montagne Blanche facility exemplifies our commitment to sustainable practices.

We are dedicated to pioneering zero-waste, environmentally conscious refining processes. Our work aligns with sustainable energy initiatives and contributes to the global effort of reducing carbon footprint.”
